Weekly Peer Liaison Meeting

Each week, Peer Liaisons convene for a structured, supportive meeting that anchors their role as guides and systems stewards within the Heart Spark Internship Program. This meeting serves three central functions:

1. Role Alignment and Skill-Building Peer Liaisons review the scope and responsibilities of their role, drawing upon Human-Centered Design principles to assess how peer support is being delivered. Emphasis is placed on clarity, empathy, and proactive communication.

2. Applicant and Intern Communication Review The team collaboratively reviews applicant and onboarding-related emails, flags those requiring follow-up, and ensures consistency in tone and content. They apply communication best practices from the Operations Intern Communications Kit to ensure all outreach reflects kindness, professionalism, and respect for intern privacy.

3. Weekly Goals and Systems Updates Liaisons set weekly goals for intern check-ins, office hours facilitation, and shared folder maintenance. They document tasks in the Deliverables Tracker, elevate any needs to program mentors, and align their work…
